Khadija fighting for life,Hope of survival becoming narrow

SYLHET :: The hope of Sylhet college girl Khadija Akter Nargis’s survival is becoming narrow as her  condition remained unchanged till Thursday morning.

Family members Khadija Begum Nargis are very worried as physicians attending to her are pessimistic about chances of her surviving.
 Khadiza has been put on artificial ventilation , the operation said Rezaus Sattar, senior consultant of the hospital’s neurosurgery department.

On Monday evening, Khadija Akter Nargis, a student of Sylhet Government Mohila College and daughter of Masuk Miah, a resident of Hausa village in Sadar upazila, was stopped on her way to home from college by Badrul Alam, assistant secretary of SUST unit of BCL.

At one stage, Badrul, son of Saidur Rahman, a resident of Manirgati village in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj district, hacked Khadija indiscriminately, leaving her critically injured.

Locals rescued Khadija and caught Badrul from the spot and beat him severely. Later, they handed him over to police.
Khadija was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital from where she was referred to Dhaka around 12:10am on Tuesday as her condition deteriorated.
