SYLHET :: Bangladesh win by 34 runs against England in the 2nd ODI.

A fabulous allround show from skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has powered Bangladesh to a series-levelling 34-run win over England in the second ODI.

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza blew England for 37 minutes and scored 44 runs from 29 balls to lift Bangladesh to 238 for 8 in allotted 50 overs. The 33-year all-rounder smashed 2 boundaries and 3 over-boundaries.

In reply, the visitors were bowled out for 204 runs in 44.4 overs.
England captain Jos Buttler (57) and Jonny Bairstow (35) put up a 79-run recovery stand but Taskin Ahmed took them both out in a second burst to break the English resolve.

With England reeling on 132-8, Adil Rashid (33 not out) prolonged the wait for the home crowd by pairing up in two determined stands with David Willey (9) and Jake Ball (28), worth 27 and 45 respectively, to take his team past 200.

The Bangladesh captain took 4 wickets for 29 runs to level the series.

Taskin Ahmed, the right-arm fast bowler, also bagged 3 wickets for 47 runs while Sakib-Al-Hassan, Nasir Hossain and Mosaddek Hossain Saikat each took a wicket for wrapping up the match.
