England beats Bangladesh by 4 wickets

SYLHET ::  England XI beat Bangladesh Cricket Board XI by 4 wickets in the tour match at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah of Narayanganj.

BCB XI scored 309 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs after their captain Nasir Hossain won toss and chose to bat first against England XI on Tuesday morning.

England XI crossed the 310-run target set by BCB XI with 23 balls remaining.

Opener of BCB XI, Imrul Kayes has smashed a century. He  scored 121 off 91 balls hitting 11 boundaries and 6 over-boundaries while Mushfiqur Rahim added 51 off 57, Nasir Hossain 46 off 45 Nazmul Hossain Shanto 36 off 46.

England bowler Chris Woakes claimed 3 wickets for 52 while Ben Stokes and David Willey 2 each for 36 and 63 respectively.

On the other hand Captain of England XI, JC Buttler scored 80 (not out) off 64 balls hitting 3 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries and MM Ali scored 70 off 51 balls hitting 8 boundaries and 2 over-boundaries.They reached the target with 23 balls remaining.

However, England will play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests in the tour. The first two ODIs will be held at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on October 7 and 9 while the third and final ODI will be held at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong on October 12.

The first Test will be played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from October 20-24 while the second Test will be held at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur from October 28-November 1. October,2016/mak
