SYLHET, TUESDAY, 19 JULY, 2016:: The grand finale of ‘Aarong Dairy Channel i Banglar Gaan’, which has been considered to be the biggest reality show of folk music in the country, will be held on July 22.
The mega festival will take place in the Shaheed Suhrawardy National Indoor Stadium in the capital. The best seven contestants, who have been selected from around 40,000 participants across the country, will fight for the crown in the first edition of the reality show.
The champion of the reality show will be awarded with BDT 10,00000, while the first runner up will receive BDT 5,00,000 and the second runner up BDT 3,00,000. In addition, there will also be an array of prizes.
Celebrated folk singer Momtaz will be the special guest judge in the grand finale alongside two main judges, eminent Rabindra Sangeet singer Rezwana Choudhury Bannya and seasoned musician Ayub.
To provide further details about the grand finale of ‘Aarong Dairy Channel i Banglar Gaan’, a press conference was held yesterday in the Channel i premises. Channel i managing director Faridur Reza Sagar, director of Brac Dairy and Food Enterprise Taufikur Rahman, Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Ayub Bacchu and top seven contestants were present at the press conference.
Faridur Reza Sagar said, “The main purpose of the mega event is to reclaim the lost heritage of the country’s folk music. The Bangladeshi viewers are about to be presented with some very talented artistes. The mega event will also include an array of surprises.”
Ayub Bacchu said, “The seven competitors have fascinating voices.”
The top seven competitors are- Ananya Yasmin Ankan (Chapainawabganj), Md Khairul Islam (Faridpur), Sharmeen (Mymensingh), Ilma Binte Bakhteyar (Chittagong), Md Nazmul Hasan (Faridpur), Al Amin Ali (Rajshahi) and Md Bilandal Hossain (Faridpur).
The grand finale of ‘Aarong Dairy Channel i Banglar Gaan’ will be aired live on Channel i.
