PM mourns death of BCL leader Nazrul Islam

SYLHET ::  Nazrul Islam(24), a leader of central executive committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), breathed his last around 3.50pm on Monday.

He died of lung cancer while undergoing treatment at BSMMU in the city for nearly one month.

BCL office secretary Delwar Hossain confirmed that to the reporter.

BCL Mass Education Affairs secretary Nazrul Islam, a student of Dhaka University Mathematics Department, was only son of his parent. 

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed profound shock at the death of Nazrul Islam, a central leader of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).

In a condolence message, she said the nation has lost a promising student leader in his death.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

At the premature death of fellow leader, BCL president Saifur Rahman Sohag and general secretary SM Jakir Hossain expressed profound shock.
